Ryanair flight makes emergency landing at Malta International Airport

A Ryanair aircraft made an emergency landing at Malta International Airport shortly after takeoff when the pilot reported a fault with the undercarriage.

The plane had taken off just after 7.30am bound for Bristol when the pilot contacted air traffic control saying he had a problem with the landing gear.

After circling the island to dump fuel the plane landed safely at 9.10am.
