Champions League round-up

Tottenham Hotspurs clinched top spot in Group H with a 2-1 win against Dortmund. It was an impressive performance by the London club, beating off the challenge of Real Madrid for top spot.

A late Sterling strike gave Manchester City a 1-0 win over Dutch champions Feyenoord, to seal top place in group F.

Liverpool squandered a 3 goal half time lead to escape with a 3-3 draw at Sevilla. The Anfield side dominated the first half, two strikes by Firmino and Mane’s first goal since August seeming enough for Liverpool to win the game and seal  top spot in Group E.

It was a different Sevilla after the break with the home team launching attack after attack.

Yedder made the pressure pay with his first five minutes after the restart and a second thanks to a penalty which he had to take twice because players had intruded on the penalty box. There was more late drama as Pizarro struck in extra time to send the Sevilla supporters into a frenzy and Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp wondering how they let the game slip away from them.

There are more Champions Leagues ties tonight with Manchester United, Chelsea, Roma, Bayern Munich all in action as well as the cream of tonight’s games, the group D clash between Juventus and Barcelona.
