Women’s rights at forefront of PM’s speech in Senglea

Speaking at a party meeting in Senglea Prime Minister Joseph Muscat highlighted women’s rights and the progress achieved by the Labour government.

As International Women’s Day approaches, on March 8, he said that more measures were needed to encourage more women to enter politics.

Economic progress and how his government had moved the country forward, the CapitalOne inquiry and different yardsticks used by the Opposition Nationalist party also formed part of his speech.
