Sam Magri has been confirmed in the Malta squad to play England in September.
The defender, who can also play in midfield, left Dover Athletic to sign for the Fleet last month.
He has played for his country a number of times and is one of Malta’s more experienced players.
They will of course be underdogs against the group leading Three Lions on the 1st of September but it’s sure to be a fantastic experience for him.
However, because of his international commitments, he will miss two games for the National League club.
He won’t be there for his return to Dover and he will not play against Eastleigh either a few days later.
That’s because Malta play Scotland that day at Hampden as they look to improve on their poor record of played six lost six in Group F.
